The co-creator of Call of Duty, renowned for co-creating the globally famous video game Call of Duty, has died in a vehicle crash in California aged 55.

The tragic news was announced by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, the development studio which he helped establish.

The influential game designer lost his life when his car crashed and burst into flames on a freeway in LA on Sunday, as reported by.

"This represents a heartbreaking loss, and our hearts are with Vince's family, those closest to him, and everyone impacted by his work," a representative from Electronic Arts stated.
