Christantus Uche Ignites Dominant Palace Win at Shelbourne.
Despite embarking on their maiden continental campaign, Crystal Palace are adapting very quickly. Missing star figures like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and defender Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles left Dublin with a comfortable result that virtually guarantees them a place in the Conference League playoffs.
Another three points in their next match against Finland's KuPS should be enough to secure straight passage to the last 16, especially after a prior setback against Strasbourg.
Squad Members Seize the Moment
This occasion provided a chance for some of Palace's lesser-used players to impress. Christantus Uche, making only his second start since joining on loan from Getafe, notched the scoring with a well-taken goal. Striker Eddie Nketiah added a another, finding the net for the second game in match.
The Shelbourne side that had finished their league season were no match even for a mostly rotated Palace outfit. The visitors were further depleted by the reports that Mateta and Muñoz are out with knee injuries.

Ex-Arsenal striker didn't need to wait long to find his goal, tapping home from a yard out after Uche's effort had struck the post.
Shelbourne were clinging on desperately. Defender Kameron Ledwidge was lucky to avoid a booking for a couple of robust challenges on Yeremy Pino, before Chris Richards struck the woodwork with a header from a corner.
Pino Wraps Up the Game
The contest was as good as over eight minutes from half-time. Yeremy Pino meandered past a series of comically weak challenges before calmly dispatching a shot past keeper Wessel Speel to make it 3-0.
After the break, manager Oliver Glasner took the chance to rest several players like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse came close to scoring with his very first touch, only to see his shot blocked.
Esse was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one shot strike off both posts before being gathered on the line. Uche also blazed a glaring chance, showing there is still scope for development in his game.
A solitary worry for Palace was a late knock to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This allowed 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to make his senior debut, capping an otherwise positive night for the visiting side.
